Provider Analyst within Physician Billing working with Practice Departments and Coding Operations.Minimum Qualifications:Education:High School diploma or GED required. Associate degree preferred.Licensure, Certification & Registration:Certified Professional coder is required.Experience:Minimum of two years customer service experience with specialization in Provider/Customer services in a health care industry is required.Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:Working knowledge and experience with provider professional fee insurance billing. Computer experience, windows environment with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are critical. Will exercise tact and discretion to obtain cooperation and understanding at all levels, internal and external. Excellent organization skills are a critical requirement. Must be able to function with minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to apply problem solving methodology is required. Must be able to plan and perform diversified duties as required, daily. Ability to organize resources for effective utilization. Ability to prioritize tasks to perform work effectively. Work requires a thorough knowledge of organization and department/division policies. The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but involved written or verbal instructions.Position Summary:To work with Practice Departments/Divisions at Albany Medical Center on issues related to professional fee billing, MCPG and Practice operational processes and communications among Practice Departments/Divisions. Evaluates the claim rejection trends that need in depth analysis leading to process improvement which directly impacts the revenue cycle.
