National Grid is hiring an OSHA Analyst of Safety Policy & Programs
in our Albany, NY or Syracuse, NY office.
As an OSHA Analyst in the Safety Policy & Programs group, you will
maintain and retain accurate OSHA data and records. You will work
to ensure accuracy and quality of safety incident and injury data
to provide relevant and up to date information to support the
organization in managing safety decision making.
--- Maintain recordkeeping for injury and illness records in
accordance with OSHA requirements.
--- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of safety data and KPIs to
regulatory authorities, and business leaders.
--- Responsible for daily collection and input of incident data and
into the US Incident Management System (IMS).
--- Aid in implementation and data classification of new High
Energy/Safety Classification and Learning model to reduce serious
--- Manage inquiries on data classification processes and IMS
--- Assist with periodic audits and training to ensure the highest
quality of data and reports is maintained
--- Work closely and develop relationships with internal and
external stakeholders, including within SHE and the various
operations and business functions
--- Reconcile information between systems, including IMS and
Contractor incident system
--- Identify trends and key drivers that should be targeted for
--- Drives and supports a culture built on safety.
--- A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety,
Engineering, Science, or related area(s) preferred, or related
--- Familiar with OSHA regulations including 29 CFR 1904
--- Strong skills with Microsoft Office
--- Must possess a high level of professionalism, integrity, and
--- Strong ability to always seek to Find a Better Way
--- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize
--- Utility safety experience or similar positions preferred
--- Strong communication, writing and relationship-building
--- Data analysis skills a plus
--- Detail oriented with appreciation for analytical accuracy
--- Understanding of project management techniques and methods.
$66K - $78K a year
