Visions Hotels, LLC is excited to be in search of a highly
organized, outgoing, professional to join our team in the capacity
of Area Director of Sales.
The qualified candidate must have a proven background in hotel
sales, preferably in the Albany/Fishkill/Poughkeepsie, NY area. The
Area Director of Sales will oversee all market segments selling for
a portfolio of hotel brands such as Marriott, Hilton, and IHG to
solicit and book the right mix of business to maximize revenue and
exceed sales goals each month. The candidate will work closely with
our revenue team and general managers.
Secures business for the hotels by:
-Soliciting business through history files, telephone calls,
outside sales calls, and direct mailings within all assigned
-Meeting with clients to sell hotel room nights and function
-Providing tours of the hotels facilities to prospective
-Entertaining clients to solicit business through lunch, dinner,
and entertainment appointments.
-Learning, understand, and utilize all Franchise brand specific
sales programs and tools.
-Analyze all reporting tools within each market or hotel (Rubicon,
Hotelligence, star, etc)
-Participating in Sales Blitz.
-Becoming a member and having involvement in industry organizations
to meet prospective clients.
-Participating in community organizations and functions (CVB,
Chamber, Inn Keepers, etc.)
-Minimum of 2 work days each week outside with scheduled
appointments, cold calls, prospecting, community events, etc.
Contributes to the financial success of the company by:
-Selling all product lines of the hotel(s), including catering,
rooms, packages, lounge and restaurant promotions.
-Meeting and exceeding budget and booking goals monthly.
-Assist with yield management to maximize RevPar.
-Create, develop, and utilize a sales and marketing plan along with
promotions and packages.
-Displaying the highest time management skills.
-Selling at the highest possible competitive price.
-Suggestive selling and informing client of benefits/features of
Maintains proper records by:
-Creating files for new business, updating past client files with
new information, tracing files for future solicitation.
-Submits weekly sales recap/production reports.
-Submits monthly revenue production reports.
-Keeping and analyzing records on inquires, cancellations, and
Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient
manner in accordance with established company policies and
procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
