Full-time Description Our Day Habilitation program located in Slingerlands, NY currently has a Full Time 40 hours Day Habilitation Floor Supervisor position available. The schedule for this position is Monday- Friday 7:30am-4:00pm* (which includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break). The rate of pay is $21.00 per hour. This is an hourly position. The Day Habilitation Floor Supervisor will directly supervise DSP’s and ensure that job responsibilities are met in a professional and timely manner including adequate coverage/supervision of those we support throughout the program day. This position will be responsible for driving and/or aiding our people each day. Want to be a WWAARC Day Habilitation Floor Supervisor and join our Team? Qualifications: At least 18 years of age. Have a valid driver’s license that meets WWAARC insurability standards. A strong driving history preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of individual and agency information. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. 1-year supervisory experience preferred. Demonstrate the ability to motivate, inspire, and lead staff. Demonstrate effective decision making and problem solving skills. Must be empathetic, compassionate, patient and reliable. Must have sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English to communicate effectively with people supported and team members and to complete required documentation in accordance with regulatory and agency standards. Must be able to perform the essential physical functions of the position, which include activities such as lifting and/or moving items up to 50 pounds, twisting/bending, positioning self as needed to complete tasks, and movement within the classroom and/or throughout the building for extended periods of time.
